In the Holy Spirit, this bond-servant is guided to write the following
in response to what you have written.  This is done with a discerning
heart not unlike the spiritual gift that was given to King Solomon when
he asked for it (1 Kings 3:9).

> Christians turn to the Bible in order to get our story right.

Actually, we turn to the Bible as one might turn to a road map.

Except for Mark, Luke, and Apostle Paul who did not know Christ Jesus
prior to HIS crucifixion and yet were still called by HIM to pen large
amounts of the New Testament.

Actually, the Holy Spirit guides us directly when we have GOD's love in
our hearts just as HE guided Mark, Luke, and Apostle Paul **before**
the Gospels were even written.  This HE did to show us that HIS power
and authority does not come from Scripture but that the power and
authority of Scripture comes from HIM.

Without GOD's love in our hearts, there is no counsel from the Great
Counselor, Who is the Holy Spirit.

There are those who have fallen for the textbook while forsaking the
Teacher.  Without the Teacher Who is our GOD, the meaning of the
textbook is sealed just as it is sealed for the atheists and agnostics
who loiter about aimlessly here and there:

Scripture simply does not speak.  The speaking you hear are the sounds
from the wagging tongues of those who would speak for GOD.

The heart of worship beats during ones walk with Christ Jesus and not
during the search through Scripture for something to justify ones
thoughts.

>   3.. that it turns the focus onto Christ, not persons, ideas,

This would be your free will, that generous gift from GOD given to all
souls.

>   4.. that it is truthful, not rooted in a lie or distortion.

This would be known only to those who have asked for and received a
discerning heart from the Holy Spirit.

A discerning heart is a spiritual gift from GOD that HE gives us when
we ask for it through prayer in Christ Jesus' name.

Studying the Holy Bible is not enough:

Just as each person's walk with Christ is different, each person's
experience with the Holy Spirit will be different.

"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot
tell where it comes from or where it is going.  So it is with everyone
born of the Spirit." -- LORD Jesus Christ (John 3:8)

Actually, it is the Holy Spirit Who guides us possibly through
Scripture or through anything else of HIS choosing.

Actually, nothing bounds a Spirit-let experience though Scripture may
enrich the experience.  It is all up to the Holy Spirit.  It is all up
to GOD's infinite will as it should be.  HIS will and not our will.

No.

LORD Jesus Christ ranks first:

"KING of kings and LORD of lords." (Revelation 19:16)

Amen !

Laus Deo !

Marana tha !

May GOD continue to heal your heart, dear neighbor Vera whom I love
unconditionally.

Prayerfully in Christ's amazing love,

As for knowing who are the very elect, these you will know by the
unconditional love they have for everyone including their enemies
(Matthew 5:44-45, 1 Corinthians 13:3, James 2:14-17).
